Ancient Sands Resort is in the town of El Gouna on the Red Sea Coast just 22 km (about 20 minutes drive) north of Hurghada.

By Air

Hurghada International airport is served by a number of direct flights from the UK, Germany, Italy and other international destinations.There are also at least 5 flights per day from Cairo.

There is a private airport at El Gouna which accepts private flights and a weekly charter service from Cairo.

Egypt Air is the country's main airline, but a number of other international flight providers also operate flights to Egypt including British Airways, KLM, Thomsonfly, Austrlian Airlines, Alitalia, Air Berlin and Lufthansa.

You can take a taxi or one of the many El Gouna shuttle buses from Hurghada Airport to El Gouna. Ancient Sands Resort will offer airport transfers for owners and guests.

By Road

Driving to Ancient Sands Resort gives you a chance to take in the beautiful Egyptian scenery. The resort is approximately five hours drive south-east of Cairo.

By Sea

Egypt borders the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. You can reach El Gouna via the Suez Canal or the Arabian Sea.

For those who arrive by yacht, there are two marinas in El Gouna. The Abu Tig Marina has 126 berths and is located 200 nautical miles south of Suez. It is just 15 minutes walk from Ancient Sands Resort. A third marina for super yachts up to 60m in length is presently under construction and is due for completion in 2009. In Egypt it is advisable to obtain clearance prior to arrival your port of entry.
